Michael Akwo-Adelowo
Your mental health journey deserves expert, compassionate care. As a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I bring a unique combination of clinical depth and real-world leadership to every patient I serve. With advanced training from Walden University and a foundation in both Pre-Med and Nursing sciences, I have spent my career at the intersection of mental health and substance use care, treating patients across all age groups, from adolescents to adults. My background includes leading Behavioral Health and Substance Use programs at a federally qualified health center in Texas, giving me a system-level understanding of care that most practitioners simply don't have. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use challenges, I am here to meet you where you are and guide you toward where you want to be.
Let's take the first step together.

What To Expect From Your
TeleHealth Visit
Telehealth appointments — especially initial evaluations — cover a lot of ground. Patients who come prepared with a few notes consistently report feeling more satisfied with their appointments and more confident in their treatment plan.
You do not need to write pages. Even a few bullet points on your phone or a notepad can make a real difference.
It’s completely okay to ask me to slow down or repeat something during our
appointment. This is your care — you should leave every session understanding your
plan. Never hesitate to say "Can you explain that in a different way?"
